Meet Neil Mattei Jr.
I’m a Baltimore native and have been involved in real estate since 2017. I built Baltimore Maryland Home Buyers to give local homeowners another option when selling the traditional way doesn’t make sense.
Over the years, I’ve worked directly with homeowners dealing with inherited and estate properties, vacant houses, major repairs, difficult rentals, and other complicated situations.
What I’ve learned is that every property and every seller is different. My job is to understand what’s going on, explain what I can offer, and let you decide whether it makes sense for you. No pressure and no pretending that selling directly to us is the right answer for everyone.

Why I Started Baltimore Maryland Home Buyers
Most homeowners know the traditional way to sell a house: prepare the property, hire an agent, list it, show it, negotiate with a buyer, and wait for closing.
That works well for a lot of people. But it isn’t the right fit for every property or every situation.
An inherited house may be full of belongings. A vacant property may need significant repairs. A landlord may simply be finished dealing with a rental. Sometimes the owner values certainty and simplicity more than going through the traditional selling process.
I built Baltimore Maryland Home Buyers to give those homeowners another option: sell the property directly, in its current condition, on a timeline that works for both sides.
Baltimore Is Home
I’m originally from Baltimore, so this isn’t a market I picked from a spreadsheet. It’s home.
And Baltimore real estate is unusually local. Property values, housing stock, renovation needs, and buyer demand can change significantly from one neighborhood, or even one block to the next.
That matters when we evaluate a house. We look at the property itself, its condition, its location, the repairs it may need, and what comparable homes are actually selling for nearby.
Our goal isn’t to force every property into the same formula. It’s to understand the house and make an offer based on what we believe we can realistically do with it.
What Happens After We Buy a House
When we agree to buy a property, our goal is to purchase it ourselves and take responsibility for the property after closing.
After closing, we take responsibility for the property and what comes next. Depending on the house, that may mean cleaning it out, making repairs, renovating it, and eventually selling it to another homeowner.
We’re not real estate agents representing you in a sale. We’re the buyer. You work directly with us from the initial conversation through closing.
That distinction matters. You know who is buying your property, who is making the decisions, and who you’re dealing with throughout the process.
